A new Jason Momoa-led TV show called See is looking for extras and you can audition to be part of the production right here in Canada.
Filming for the dystopian show will take place outdoors, just south of St. Thomas, Ont., on Sunset Drive and will be filmed Monday to Friday, from February until June or July.
In light of this, a casting call has been put out by The St. Thomas Economic Development Corporation.
The premise of the new Apple TV+ show “is that a virus has decimated humankind leaving only two million people alive and without sight. The survivors and their descendants must find new ways to interact, build, hunt and survive,” the call explains.
Anyone interested in being a part of the production must be okay with wearing prosthetics, real fur, real wool, real leather and hemp. Actors must also be okay with touching “in a blind world where people use physical touch to navigate their space.”
The call warns potential extras of long filming days which may easily last from 10 to 15 hours. It also recommends investing in good thermal underwear and socks for under your costume, which will be provided.
“Being an extra is fun if you are patient, prepared and have a flexible schedule,” it states.
For those interested in the position, a “go see” is being held at Fanshawe Career & Employment Services in St. Thomas on January 21 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Only those aged 18 or older will be considered for a role, and the positions pay $14 an hour for a non-union background performer with an 8-hour minimum guarantee.
And for those of us who prefer to sit back and watch the show from the comfort of our living rooms, See premiered on November 1, 2019 and has already been renewed for a second season.
